About the Job:
The position of National Account Manager will have primary responsibility of new business acquisition through the implementation of sales plans in line with company expectations and existing customer management. This role will be responsible for leveraging personal and professional contacts to generate a substantial sales income. This role will be part of a successful team, dedicated to building and protecting long term relationships as well as identifying new business opportunities within the logistics sector.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Promote the value of the Odyssey Logistics network to provide unique customer solutions.
  • Manage relationships and grow business within the existing customer base.
  • Build relationships with high level decision makers in an assigned territory.
  • Continually seek out new opportunities and review sales targets on a regular basis to ensure goals and expectations are met.
  • Work as a collaborative team member, always available to assist colleagues, teammates, customers, etc.
  • Understand customer expectations, requirements, challenges, and opportunities and communicate all relevant information to internal teams to ensure quality service.

Required:
  • High school degree or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years previous experience in a sales role within the logistics/transportation industry is required.
  • Track record of success in a logistics, NVOCC /freight forwarding outside sales role.
  • Must be able to identify and interact with key decision-makers in a business-to-business environment.
  • Able to put together solutions to satisfy client requirements.
  • Organized, punctual, and computer savvy to track progress, create proposals and maintain regular communication with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of local markets is essential.
  • Basic awareness of state, federal and international laws and regulations governing the logistics industry.
Desired:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Location:
This is a remote role.
Approximately 50% travel is anticipated.

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.

The pay for this role is: $70,000 to $80,000 per year.
