SUMMARY:
Coordinates, prepares and implements the usage of multimedia materials, including photography and video, for internal and external customers. Video responsibilities include but are not limited to scripting, planning, scheduling, filming, editing and production. Collaborates with other Marketing team members on projects as requested.
JOB DUTIES:
- Collaboratively creates, develops and maintains creative elements for Drury Hotels using photography and videography.
- Participates in project concept development meetings, helping to identify overall goals and messages for projects.
- Determines scope and resource requirements for each project and obtains approvals as needed. Prepares and tracks project schedules.
- Assists with the development of scripts and project flow charts. Clarifies messages and assists with selection of media that is appropriate for the audience. Advises on most effective delivery option for message and audience. Performs research on various topics as needed by the project.
- Oversees scheduling of talent, technical requirements and resources needed for each project.
- Executes/produces projects – photography shoot, video shoot, etc. Edits the material and presents proofs for approval.
- Revises materials and projects as directed and presents for final approval.
- Works closely with members of the Marketing team to ensure that there is a consistent look and message with other collateral.
- Schedules property photography following renovations, updates or new construction; uploads images to marketing portal for company usage. Maintains and updates portal as needed.
- Provides graphic design support on digital and print projects.
- Assists the department by performing additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Exemplifies a +1 Service attitude and provides courteous, friendly guest service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests and complaints from both internal and external team members.
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
Requires ability to give and take oral direction. Requires ability to communicate, both verbally and written, in English. Requires strong writing skills and understands the brand in order to effectively communicate on digital and social media. Requires ability to relate to others in a warm, friendly and professional manner. Effective communicator and presenter with the ability to lead and influence colleagues and cross functional teams. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and ever changing environment. Creative problem solver who finds solutions that work for all parties. Motivated to follow up and see all tasks through to completion.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required, preferably in marketing or a related field; minimum of three to five years of multimedia experience including photography and videography. Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
