POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Digital Production Manager, the Multimedia Producer will make key contributions to successfully producing, distributing, and promoting NESN video content. The Multimedia Producer will shoot, edit and upload original video segments for use across all NESN platforms. Additionally, she/he will work with other NESN departments (including sales, social media and marketing) to promote NESN's video content via search/social media in accordance with best practices and web analytics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shoot, edit, and post NESN video segments to digital and/or linear platforms
- Consistently pitch story, segments and/or series ideas
- Edit and apply metadata to all video content for use on NESN.com, NESN 360, and our syndication partners
- Demonstrate expertise in relevant concepts and processes with technical/software tools
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years experience as content producer/multimedia journalist for a professional media organization
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Suite editing
- Expert knowledge of DSLR and/or Sony field/ENG cameras and field audio concepts (lav mics/wireless systems)
- Experience creating/posting YouTube content, with history of generating meaningful viewership & revenue from the channel
- Strong knowledge of New England sports teams and national sports teams/leagues
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and produce creative, high-quality work on deadlines
- Understanding of web video editing and blog software (such as WordPress) preferred
- Experience with HTML and CSS preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work afternoon-evening hours and/or weekends/holidays as needed
- Experience with internal web analytics systems (Adobe Analytics) is a plus
- BA or BS, preferably in a communications or technical discipline
- Must possess strong communication & organizational skills
- Must be a self-starter who can work independently but also within a team environment
