REQUIREMENTS

  • Protects the assets of the Company.
  • Works at least 40 hours per week. (Flexibility to increase these requirements during peak season. Approximately January 1st - July 31st, dates will be determined by Regional Manager).
  • No vacation time may be taken during peak season.
  • Required to have open availability.
  • Available to travel to other stores in the district when needed to train employees.
  • Available to travel to stores to do audits.
  • High School Degree or GED
  • 1 year Retail Supervisory Experience or Equivalent Experience
  • Great Customer Service Skills, Great Communication Skills, Great Organizational Skills, and Detail-Oriented
  • Computer Literate
  • Proven Sales Success
  • Must be able to pass an employment background screening.


PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Manages the daily operation of multiple retail stores, including customer service, sales, and inventory control. Consistently achieves all salon/district sales goals. Implements and reviews store policies and procedures.

Supervises staff, sets sales goals, and trains new hires. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The DMIT contributes to the success of At The Beach by supervising and coordinating the activities of salon employees to ensure friendly, professional, efficient and courteous service is provided to customers in a clean, well-maintained salon environment.

Trains new staff and continued training for current staff in the store.

Leads by example-shows employees how to carry themselves while in the store.

Ensures training is followed and completed by all employees in the district.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Needs to achieve or exceed store goal and meet or exceed individual averages as well as store averages. Refer to monthly goal sheet for goal numbers.
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Prepare work schedules within agreed upon payroll budgets.
  • Keep store staffed by interviewing and hiring sales staff.
  • Providing guidance and motivating employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
  • Train employees to enhance sales skills and to grow with the company.
  • Communicate any information regarding product, policies, training, sales techniques, and company promotions to salon employees.
  • Attends weekly managers meeting, communicates and follows through on information from the meetings.
  • Follows through on Image guidelines with all employees.
  • Creates a teamwork environment.
  • Participates in offering ideas and suggestions to upper management.
  • Produces thorough and timely paperwork and reports.
  • Salon organization and cleanliness - Cleaning and maintaining all salon equipment and the work environment.
  • Completing store walk through including inventory check on a weekly basis and following up with anything that is needed.
  • Ensuring timely opening and closing of the salon.
  • Complete opening and closing cash handling procedures; to include; creating and verifying pre- determined banks and depositing excess monies at the bank.
  • Monitor bank deposits and deposit for stores that don’t have a Manager M-F.
  • Monitor and make change/coin orders three times per week or as needed.
  • Required to be on call.
  • Able to work shift for staff that call in if no one else is available.
  • Coaches and follows up with employees on a regular basis and turns in any forms necessary to HR.
  • The Multi-Unit Store Manager is responsible for setting an example by being a role model and leader for all salon employees.
  • Acts and makes decisions in the best interest of the Company.
  • Ensures and implements all policies and procedures of At The Beach.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Required to fill any open shift at their salon.
  • Responsible for making store cash/check deposits and communicates any variance within 24 hours.
  • Train all employees at designated store.
  • Communicate with the corporate office in a timely manner.
