AMD, Inc., is hiring MTS Software System Design Engineers to drive business analytics execution to enable the continuous successful program execution for the Platform Engineering leaders, engineers, and stakeholders. Research and evaluate opportunities to apply common methods and frameworks across analytic projects to allow for reuse of modeling and more efficient solutions. Develop visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop. Translate business needs to technical specifications, while putting the end user as the #1 priority. Engage with internal cross-functional teams to understand how platform engineering and the various teams can better collaborate and scale together. Manage multiple analytics and reports projects in parallel and globally. Drive methods to help engineers track and report status versus objectives throughout the lifecycle of the program. Be part of the founding team to define and create the analytics and reporting strategy for the platform engineering team. Exercise independent judgement to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results with little to no supervision. Utilize knowledge of business analytics, computers and electronic, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.

Qualifications: Degree required
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: 2 years in job offered or closely related business system analyst role.
Alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related business system analyst role.

Qualifications:
