Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Monitoring and Incident Response Team Manager with a Top-Secret Clearance to support KTS and our government customer. The primary place of performance is in Virginia and/or within the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area (WMA). This is a remote opportunity.

Position Overview:
This position is for a Monitoring and Incident Response Team Manager to support the DOJ Justice Management Division (JMD)’s Mission by applying information technology solutions to their business processes. The MIRT will oversee all aspects of the Incident Management process, from evaluation to resolution. The MIRT will partner with stakeholders and service engineers to mitigate service disruptions, facilitate identification of root causes, and oversee resolution of unplanned service impacts. The MIRT must provide professional communication through all stages of incident management.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide leadership and direction during P1/P2 major incidents. Maintain authoritative control of incident responses, while maintaining an overall incident perspective and ensuring the Incident Management processes are followed.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the communication and escalation processes during High Priority incidents.
  • Produce clearly written post-incident reporting within agreed SLAs, assisting with After Action Reports (AAR) where required.
  • Deliver results and achieve SLA/KPI performance by focusing on effective cross functional team working.
  • Proactively monitor incident resolution, analyze, and highlight trends and root causes to Problem Management and/or relevant support teams.
  • Compile and publish operational incident reports detailing high profiled outages, as required
  • Champion quality standards and Service Management process ensuring compliance across all operational teams.
  • Provide technical analysis of major incidents to uncover underlying problems. Ensures that accurate root cause and trend analysis are determined.
  • Lead problem review sessions and coordinates critical problem resolutions to root cause, ensuring all incidents are logged and relevant parties involved.
  • Requirements
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate issues for the Networks team using any monitoring tools in place
  • Monitor and escalate issues for all of the other teams using agreed upon monitoring tools and processes
  • Monitor reverse proxy websites and alert components of expiring certificates within one business day of receiving the alert
  • Develop and maintain IRT training documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other documentation
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • PMP or other relevant certification
  • 10+ years of IT Project Management experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple IT projects and prioritize duties based on shifting demands
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to plan and oversee projects using project management software tools and methodologies
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting DOJ Justice Management Division or other Divisions
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
