ALK has an opening for a full-time Mold Technician, located in our Luther, Oklahoma location.
Work Assignments
The following is a list of specific duties, which are considered to be essential functions of this job. This list is not all-inclusive, and the employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any/all duties assigned by management, irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list.
Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)- Follow cGMP including proper documentation of work performed
- Work under the guidance of the Mold Team Leader
- Perform cleaning of facility and equipment as directed by the SOPs
- Weigh and dispense chemicals for mold media
- Dispense and sterilize mold media into bottles for inoculation
- Aseptically gown for inoculation of mold batches
- Aseptically inoculate mold batches
- Wash bottles
- Harvest and Process mold after the growing process is complete
- Pump and filter acetone for use in production
- Ensure temperature chart recorders are maintained and accurate
- Perform Environmental Monitoring throughout and at the end of each inoculation
- Monitor and maintain boilers, DI tanks and RO system daily, reporting any issues
Competences
Level I
Education/Work Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required, no experience necessary.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Able to work around hazardous chemicals, allergenic antigens and medically qualified to use a respirator and hearing protection without restrictions.
Skills and Abilities
- Get along with others and work well in a team.
- Must have good verbal communication, reading, writing and math skills.
- Must have good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with required safety practices, quality systems and regulatory requirements.
- Able to use a computer and basic office software applications.
- Demonstrate ALK Values.
- Must master at least one ALK Production Curriculum.

- Works with close supervision.
