The Mobile Therapist (MT) is a master's level clinician who provides face to face child centered, family focused, individualized and family psychotherapy, and behavioral management, utilizing a strengths based approach, provided in a setting other than a therapist’s or provider’s office.

Area of service includes: Carbon, Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, and Wayne counties in NEPA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides expertise in behavioral management protocols.
  • Collaborates with other treatment team members to design and direct the implementation a behavior modification intervention plan which is individualized to each individual or adolescent and to the family needs.
  • Identifies behavioral goals and intervention techniques, and recommends least restrictive behavioral change methods.
  • Develops treatment plan, services and outcome-based short term goals for identified child/adolescent.
  • Provides assessments of the strength and therapeutic needs of assigned children and their families.
  • Attends and participates in Inter-Agency Service Planning Team (ISPT) meetings.
  • Gathers written information on the antecedents, behaviors, and consequences to determine the need for behavioral intervention, if the current behavior plan is working, and to identify any problems with the current behavior plan.
  • Collaborates with other involved professions and agencies in order to provide unified services and continuity of care to child and family. Develops discharge planning criteria.
  • Works with families to determine an assessment of family need and appropriate treatment modalities. Provides clinical services to child/adolescent and family.
  • Provides written documentation and clinical records of therapeutic process and progress.
  • Submits applicable billing related documentation to facilitate payment of services.
  • Participates in company orientation, in-service training, and Office of Mental Health training.
  • Ensures the confidentiality of program participants, records, and information is maintained at all times.
  • Maintains effective Multi-Disciplinary Team interactions. Acts as a mandated reporter under the Pennsylvania Child Protect Service Law.
  • Travels to site visits and meetings.
  • Provides coverage in emergency situations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Individuals who provide MT services shall meet one of the following:

  • Licensed Pennsylvania as a social worker or a behavior specialist AND have a graduate degree that required a clinical or mental health direct service practicum
  • 1 year or more of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth or young adults AND a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to psychology, social work or counseling
  • Graduate degree with a least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling AND completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum

Payment for Sign-On: Payment for sign-on will be made in the following increments. $200.00 at the time of full completion of training, contract requirements, and on-boarding, $200.00 after the first case worked, and $200.00 at 90 days after the first case worked, all provided that the Contractor has met the requirements set forth.

THROUGH THE END OF THE CALENDER YEAR, TOTAL SIGN ON PAYMENT INCREASED TO $2,000 (in lieu of above payments) FOR MEETING MILESTONES BELOW!

- 1st payout $500 (if requirements are met within 30 days)

- 2nd payout $500 (after first case worked)

- 3rd payout $1000 (after 6 months of consistently billing)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $34.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Self-determined schedule

Supplemental pay types:

  • Signing bonus

  • Newfoundland, PA 18445: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
