Great Lakes Stair and Steel is looking for an experienced project manager to add to our company.

The position is full-time with overtime opportunities.

Wages are paid weekly on an hourly basis; overtime is paid at time-and-a-half. Compensation will be based on experience and skills, 72K -110K yearly per experience and ability.

Business hours are Monday – Thursday, 7 AM-5:30 PM; Friday 7 AM-3:30 PM.

Benefits include 401K with match, paid vacations, and paid holidays. We do not offer any company insurance plans

After a 30-day probationary period a company truck will be provided.

The project manager is responsible for general oversight of several miscellaneous metals jobs. This includes attending weekly jobsite meetings, submitting drawings and compliance documents to customers, answering questions, reviewing fabrication schedules, reviewing jobsite conditions & scheduling crews/machinery for install.

Responsibilities will include (in order of importance):

- Accurately communicating with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers and GLSS field /shop personnel.

- Communicating directly with the company owner

- Tracking project change order costs

- Writing / submitting of RFI's as needed

-Attending weekly jobsite meetings

- Assembling and coordinating compliance documentation for large construction projects

- Checking addendums and new information for any changes to your assigned work

Skills and qualities needed for this position:

- Highly organized and able to manage multiple jobs

- Understanding and ability with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Bluebeam

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Ability to determine priorities and work independently

- Comprehension and complete understanding of construction blueprints

- Prior use of Procore is beneficial. Training during work hours will be provided otherwise, as use of this site will be necessary.

- Must have reliable transportation
