There is an opening for a Middle School Math Teacher at Westminster Catawba Christian School. The position is full time and will begin in August, 2023.

Position Expectations

WCCS is hiring a MS math teacher that is eager to join a passionate faculty and engage with a robust Christ centered curriculum and thoughtful course sequence. This role includes maintaining lesson plans, assignments, progress reports, and grades.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (with a master’s degree preferred) and preferably with three-five years teaching experience in either middle or high school education. Effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues is essential. Problem solving and critical thinking skills, a sense of humor, a passion to serve, and a desire to collaborate are also important for this position.

WCCS actively seeks candidates who participate in the life of the school and possess strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration. They should be a self-directed individual who is solution oriented, flexible, and works well with teams and individuals while possessing a positive attitude. The ability to coach or lead a club is desirable.
