Job Summary:


Conduct primary sales account interface, administration, and communication with customers and manufacturer’s representatives – represent the Company to the customer base. The Mid-West Region Sales Manager leads and coordinates Sales activities and implements processes and procedures that help achieve business goals in the region in a manner consistent with corporate philosophies and practices. The Regional Sales Manager reports directly to the Sales Director.


Job Responsibilities:

This position will be required to provide overall leadership that ensures and includes:


  • Lead and manage Midwest Sales team members including management of goals and objectives for Sales representatives and sales territory
  • Conduct primary sales account interface, administration, and communication with customers and manufacturer’s representatives – represent the Company to the customer base.
  • Develop customer relationships to enhance customer retention and market share growth.
  • Conduct sales activities in a manner consistent with the Company’s defined market strategy and Company values, and compliant with established Company policies and procedures.
  • Establish, maintain, and work a new business pipeline to identify and develop Conduit business opportunities with existing and new customers.
  • Perform forecasting, analyses, reports, inquiries, and general intelligence efforts as required to develop, maintain, and utilize superior customer/market knowledge to enable the implementation of sound sales approaches and actions.
  • Effectively work w/ customer svc/planning & plant operations teams to resolve customer account issues & challenges.
  • Prepare and maintain updates, highlights, special management reports, etc. as required.
  • Must live and/or relocate to a strategic location within the specified territory
  • 60% - 75% travel required
  • Other miscellaneous projects as needed


Required Education/Experience
:

  • (3) Three-plus years of experience in front-line sales account management
  • Experience in the soft-alloy aluminum extrusion industry is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience within the Electrical Market preferred
  • Related marketing or business degree or minimum of three years experience/education.
  • Bachelor’s degree is a preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats, with fluency in English; General understanding of quality standards
  • Knowledge, experience, and skills in pricing, negotiation, and contracts are required.
  • Experience in sales account management and building customer relationships.
  • Must be able to interface effectively with sales teammates within the regional team to coordinate and quarterback account management.
