Job description
As a UX/UI designer at UpTop you will work on various projects using a design thinking mindset and lean UX methodology. You will be a generalist capable of performing user research, data analysis, concept design, prototyping, or usability testing. You will need to be able to see a project from start to finish and deliver high quality and value. You will need to work both collaboratively with others, and independently with guidance from more senior team members. But most of all, you will need to possess the following traits for success:

What You'll Do:
- Balance user, business, and technology goals
- Design simple and intuitive user interfaces leveraging UX best practices on any device or platform
- Perform project discovery and requirements gathering
- Experience in gathering both quantitative and qualitative data and converting into actionable insights
- Perform UX research activities including stakeholder/user interviews, journey mapping, survey building, card sorting, tree testing, and landscape analysis
- Create wireframes (mid to hi-fidelity)
- Build interactive, clickable prototypes
- Visual design capabilities with a good sense of type, color, and layout
- Implement or extend existing client brand guidelines
- Prepare detailed designs as needed for development including user states, interactions, and annotations
- Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams including sales, project management, and development
Required:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

- Work effectively in a team environment including close interaction with clients
- Work effectively on multiple, concurrent projects
- Apply strategic and tactical thinking when needed
- Self-manage small scale design projects if needed
- Have good understanding of user-centered design methodologies and best practices
- Demonstrated visual design capability that is attractive and polished
- Acute analytical skills and superb attention to detail
- Minimum 5 years of professional or related design experience within an agency, in-house design team, or freelancing
