The Opportunity

We are searching for a Software Development Manager, who will be leading a team within the Applied Data & Analytics group which is part of Information & Data Services. This is an existing team of 5-8 Data Product Managers and Business Systems Analysts.
We, Information & Data Services, are the heart of Adobe, you (and your team) will be accountable for maintaining a spectrum of highly available data services.
Your role includes taking specific product features through the entire life cycle, from requirement analysis to delivery, and meeting the reliability, performance, and quality targets required in our company. We expect you to guide the team to unexplored technological areas and develop innovative features.
You should have demonstrated hands-on experience in solving technical issues, participating in the design, and being able to dive into the code if needed.
Additionally, your scope will include leading the operational aspect of the platform team. This includes handling internal client support requests, change requests, incident responses, and outages.
As a people manager, we expect you to join our interview teams, keep your team motivated, perform appraisals for the team members, and participate in management-related activities. What you'll Do Drive and perform efficient communication with stakeholders and clients
Lead the team, plan and manage its workload by assigning work, monitoring and resolving problems, anticipating and overcoming potential conflicts and roadblocks Review and participate in architectural decisions and feature specifications
Mentor team members by providing knowledge and expertise in hard and/or “soft” skills and conduct regular team and individual “1-1” meetings with your team.
Lead sophisticated programs and solutions involving multiple engineering organizations and Provide regular status updates to management. What you need to succeed
5+ years of software development experience and 10+ years of engineering management experience
Excellent people management skills in leading teams of 5 or more, and a good understanding and practice of the agile framework
Requires bachelor’s degree.
5+ years of experience supporting Data, and analytics for Business units, Sales GTM, Finance, and Customer Care
3+ years of hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
3 + years of hands-on experience with OLAP / multi-dimensional data cubes
Experience with Hadoop "Big Data" platform
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Stats and/or analytical background.
Ability to build and manage cross-functional relationships.
SAP/S4 Hana Technical and Implementation Experience Desirable

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $143,500 -- $282,600 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
