POSITION SUMMARY

As a Messina Hof Harvest Green Host/Hostess you will be responsible for creating a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service, and high standards. The Host/Hostess will greet guests upon, seat the guests at their appropriate tables, conduct a wait list if needed, enter and process to-go orders and thank the guests when they exit the building.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Greet incoming and departing guests
• Escort the guests to their assigned dining area
• Clear tables of dirty plates, utensils, and glassware
• Prepare tables for new customers by wiping down tables, sweeping around and underneath the tables and setting napkins and condiments
• Understand the Point of Sale system and have menu knowledge
• Conduct To-Go orders and package them accordingly
• Receive payments and process tickets with cash, credit card, check, or gift cards
• Reconcile cash drawer at the end of the shift
• Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed
