Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain for E&R, you will collaborate with sales organization in developing a leading product offering to provide our customers the most attractive and profitable product offering in the industry. In addition, you will execute strategy through supplier management and product line execution while developing a catalog of items to deliver a year over year improvement in both revenue and profit.

• Collaborate with sales organization in developing a strategic product offering to meet customer needs and quality while remaining cost competitive.
• Develop relationships with strategic suppliers at multiple levels, ensuring alignment in growth strategies, addressing challenges in operations in a timely manner and making sure customer needs are met.
• Kick-off product life cycle activities (discontinuations, new item adds).
• Coordinate with supplier to support cross functional needs (enhanced content, product information) to support sales, supply chain and e-commerce.
• Provide analytical support for supplier discussions and negotiations.
• Work with Grainger Supplier Managers to ensure supplier compliance to all eligible contracts.
• Develop and implement tactics in the product line strategy to increase purchasing scale and leverage among suppliers for E&R's business. Drive these tactics and manage the cost structure of the product line.
• Monitor the financial performance of the assigned products to ensure there is constant feedback into the success of the product line strategy.
• Periodically present product line strategies for the assigned categories or sub-categories to leadership.

Supply Chain:

• Work with E&R Supply Chain partners to build product line activity in a manner that enhances the customer experience and our inventory/logistics goals.

Supplier Relationships:

• Promote strategic direction of supplier relationships with E&R, including relationship between supplier and other applicable E&R departments.
• Document and maintain contractual agreements between E&R and its Suppliers that maximize scalable processes and minimize E&R's risk.
• Negotiate all elements of assigned supplier relationships to ensure lowest total cost of procurement, including: product cost, payment terms.

• BS/BA
• 3+ years relevant experience
• Experience building, product assortments for customer requirements.
• Proven ability to execute appropriate processes and decisions across an organization.
• Demonstrated experience driving profitability through the execution of product line tactics, supplier selection and supplier negotiations.
• Knowledge of industrial product supply distribution ideal.
