BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an experienced Mental Health Technician Prime Pool to join our outstanding and compassionate team at The Winter Haven Hospital of Psychiatry in Winter Haven!
Winter Haven Hospital Center for Psychiatry, part of BayCare Health System, is a 30-bed inpatient psychiatric unit that offers 24-hour nursing care for adults dealing with behavioral disorders and addictions. Our experienced team is comprised of psychiatrists, social workers, registered nurses, case managers and mental health technicians. Winter Haven Hospital Center for Psychiatry is a Baker Act-receiving facility.
- Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and well-being.
- Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Assists with physical care under the direction of a RN.
- Promotes coordination of the unit by completing orders, making phone calls and directing calls and information to the charge nurse.

Qualifications:
Required Certifications and Licensures:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred
- Patient Care Technician - preferred
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent - required OR
- Associate's in a related field - Preferred
Experience:
- 6 months Healthcare Preferred
