Job description

PowerNet Credit Union is looking for a personable, outgoing individual for Member Service Representative (MSR) position. The responsibilities of the position include: answer questions about financial products and services; open & close accounts; assist members with questions and resolve problems; and process teller transactions for members (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments). This position requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, a desire to help people, be able to manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

• Knowledge of banking industry -- Deposit Accounts and IRA's.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent phone skills.
• Cash handling and check negotiation experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.

Experience:

6 to 12 months experience in retail or financial institution with cash handling, check negotiation, and account opening/closing experience. Previous MSR or teller experience a plus.

Education: High School Diploma or education equivalent to High School Diploma.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience. Benefits include employer-paid insurance.
