Telework Information: This position is eligible for hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

The Health Account Management Division (HAMD) is responsible for marketing the CalPERS health program to employers; contracting with employers to offer health benefits through CalPERS; health enrollment and eligibility for State and public employees, retirees, and their families; handling members’ requests for administrative hearings as well as requests for extended coverage to over-age dependents; and billing public agencies offering CalPERS health benefits monthly. HAMD assists health plans, health benefit officers from state and public agencies, school districts, and members by providing eligibility determinations and enrollment services.

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager III, Assistant Division Chief of the Health Account Services Section, the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) has full management and supervisory authority for providing day-to-day management direction to the Medicare Administration unit through two subordinate Staff Services Managers (SSM I’s).

  • Skills necessary to identify process improvements and implement changes
  • Knowledge and experience in project management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $7,204.00 - $8,950.00 per month
