Med Tech—Coras Wellness and Behavioral Health


Seeking an energetic, self-driven, charismatic candidate to represent Coras as a Med Tech at the Dover Treatment Center. The Medical Technician (MT) is a member of the clinical team that provides care and assistance to persons who struggle with mental health and substance use disorders. The MT provides the assistance necessary develop a recovery plan by gathering relevant information during the clinical process, under the supervision of a Nurse. The MT, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides services to meet the environmental, physical, psychosocial, and personal needs of the persons in our care. Coras was Founded in 2021, as a limited liability corporation as a subsidiary of Conexio Care, Inc., CORAS Wellness & Behavioral Health provides a wide array of substance abuse and behavioral health treatment services, including but not limited to, MAT Services, Outpatient Services, Residentials Services, Sober Living Services, Primary Care Services, and other wellness and behavioral health services. We currently have 16 facilities throughout the state of Delaware.

Duties of the position:

  • Collects specimens for analysis
  • Prepares and tests specimens, including blood, urine, tissue, and/or other bodily fluids
  • Performs hands-on tasks when appropriate, including drawing blood, preparing and sterilizing the area, applying pressure, and dressing when complete.
  • Monitors vital signs when working directly with patients
  • Monitors collection processes to ensure accuracy of results.
  • Analyzes lab reports for accuracy Utilizes and monitors lab equipment.
  • Analyzes and relays test results to clients and staff.
  • Processes, records, and analyzes tested data as necessary
  • Ensures all results are documented in EHR.
  • Chemically analyzing blood or urine for toxic components
  • Operating and calibrating equipment
  • Schedules appointments for prescribers and intakes
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned, verbally or in writing.

Required Education and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • One year’s experience (or more) working in health care or health services
  • CPR and First Aid Training
  • Must receive and maintain a satisfactory urine drug screen, abuse registries review, and criminal background investigation.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Computer knowledge of MS Office, and other HR applications is a plus, not required.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proactive, organized, and possess great follow-up skills.
