JOB FUNCTION:

Coordinates medical services for developmentally disabled residents in the residential program through the implementation of agency policies and procedures and regulations as defined by the State of Colorado. Assist This position will work closely with Adult Services Director, Residential Registered Nurse, Adult Services Assistant Director, and the Residential Supervisor of each residential site to assure quality health care for each resident.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 21, with a minimum high school diploma or GED. Experience with the developmentally disabled population is preferred but not necessary. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background, drug screening and motor vehicle check. Must have demonstrated knowledge and abilities in the areas of behavior management techniques. Must be able to complete the required training. Computer skills are a must.

ESSENTTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires manual dexterity to operate computers, handle documents, and operate medical equipment. Requires visual acuity for keyboarding and reading. Performs assigned tasks when necessary, under the stress of heavy workloads and or other factors such as, but not limited to, changing assignments on short notice. Must be able to transport agency consumers and drive to agency locations. Works directly with developmentally disabled adults which requires lifting, bending, stooping, reaching over head as well as reaching down, climbing stairs, driving, transferring and physical management techniques. Must have demonstrated the ability to work effectively with others and to effectively communicate, both verbally and in a written format. Must have knowledge of community resources as they relate to the developmentally disabled population. Must be able to function as a consumer advocate for community supports.

This position pays $16.28 per hour.
