Responsibilities and Duties - Medical Records Specialist
- Ensure that all patients and coworkers are treated with professionalism, courtesy and compassion.
- Ensure compliance with HIPPA guidelines.
- Process request and communicates via telephone, email and faxes in a timely manner.
- Validates requests and authorizations for release of medical information.
- Performs quality checks on all work to assure accuracy of the release, confidentiality, and proper invoicing.
- Accurately and efficiently process data input, retrieval of data and all other tasks associated with release of information services and time reporting.
Qualifications and Skills
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Experience - (ECW Eclinical Works): 1 year (Preferred)
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Availability to work Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
