Medical Biller - Full Cycle Billing

About the Job

Our growing Podiatry practice is seeking a full-time experience Medical Biller to handle all aspects of billing and collecting of payments. The ideal Medical Biller must be enthusiastic, hard-working and flexible, be able to multi-task, have a great attitude and thrive in a fast-paced results driven work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews claims to ensure billing accuracy according to payor requirements, including but not limited to codes, modifiers, pricing, dates and authorizations
• Submitting claims through our eClincal Works (EMR)
• Make calls to insurance companies for claims status, resubmit denials and file appeals when necessary.
• Process claims from start to finish
• Identify and resolve patient billing issues.
• Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount.
• Posting of payments to the patient account
• Monitor fee schedules to ensure billing is being optimized.
• Pursues collection activities to obtain reimbursement from payers and/or patients including contacting patients by phone, correcting and resubmitting claims.
• Conduct daily eligibility checks for new patients by making calls to insurance companies.

Requirements for the job are as follows:

• At least 3 years of experience with healthcare collections
• At least 2 year of A/R experience within a medical billing environment
• At least 1 year experience in various billing/front office roles
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
• Experience working with EOBs
• Experience working with Medicare and Commercial Insurance
• Strong computer skills
• Impeccable professional reputation with high degree of energy, integrity, and positive spirit
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
