Location: US:WI:OAK CREEK at our CP-DREXEL TOWN SQ HLTH CENTER facility.

This job is ON - SITE.

FTE: 1.000000

Shift: Shift 1

Schedule: M-F with one late night required (6:00 pm). No weekends or holidays.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT/LPN SUMMARY

Responsibilities:

A Medical Assistant/LPN is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. This individual is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and other duties as assigned. They are instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The medical assistant may be required to cross train and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations. Other duties as assigned.

Medical Assistant Requirements

One to two years of clinical experience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider

In addition, individuals must meet one (1) of the following combinations of education and experience

A. A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate). - Additional certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certification board or certification is preferred.

B. A graduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training. In addition to education, one (1) year of formal on the job Medical Assistant experience preferred.

C. Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials

a. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA

b. Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT

c. Assessment –Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)

d. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) -NHA

LPN Requirements

One to two years of related clinical experience is preferred. Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing is required. Current LPN licensure by the state of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
