As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.

Schedule available:

  • 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet with patients and document basic medical history in the EMR system
  • Triage patients
  • Update medical records
  • Coordination of care with specialists and other outside facilities
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
  • Perform blood draws and prepare specimens for lab pick-ups
  • Administer immunizations and injectables
  • Check medication expiration dates per company Policy and Procedure
  • Schedule appointments as needed
  • Additional duties as assigned by management to support business needs

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience as a medical assistant
  • Proficiency EMR E-ClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office management systems and procedures is strongly recommended
  • Great time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
  • Innovative, motivated, and team player
  • Ability to establish working relationships, resolve interpersonal conflicts, and apply basic staff etiquette in dealing with others.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Must possess close attention to detail
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule, with the ability to work on weekends when necessary (based on clinic location).
