Medical Assistant – Full Time (Day Shift – Weekday – No Holidays)

About the Role:
The ideal candidate for this role will carry out administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a medical provider. Daily responsibilities will include maintaining the providers schedule, rooming patients (taking vitals, patient interview, going over medications and allergies), preparing patients for examinations, assisting with procedures, calling patients with results, answering and returning phone calls, accurately documenting in the EMR, processing medication refills, prior authorizations with insurance companies, and various clerical duties. We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic, and organized individual to work in our fast-paced Medical Assistant department.
Applicants must be:
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to establish and maintain a working relationship with patients, physicians, management, and co-workers.
- Able to effectively handle the daily fluctuations of patient volume.

Flexible Schedule:
- 38-40 hours per week with a half day off per week
Daily contact with patients is expected. Work is performed in a clinic environment.
Desired Education, Certifications and/or Experience
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred, however, applicants may be considered based on experience.
- Experience working in a healthcare facility or patient care setting

Experience:
- Medical Assistants: 1 year (Preferred)
