TempExperts is currently hiring for a Mechanical Engineer to join a manufacturing company in Largo.
This team member will be responsible for performing standard engineering development and design work to include mechanical structures and components; as well as assemblies using SolidWorks CAD, and solid modeling.
Responsibilities will include:
- Designing tooling and fixturing
- Modifying existing designs
- Selecting materials
- Owning conceptual and final designs
- Providing occasional engineering support to the Manufacturing Floor
- Driving projects focused on waste elimination and improving process capability
- Interacting with vendors and suppliers to assist with reducing costs, improving material availability and turns, and ultimately improving quality throughout the manufacturing process
Skills and Experiences:
- BSME or BSET experience is preferred
- Must be a US Citizen
- Strong working knowledge of 3-D modeling and drafting per ANSI Y14.100 using SolidWorks 2012 or later
- Experience performing reverse engineering from actual functional hardware
- Simulation and manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of typical machine shop operations
- Practical knowledge of MIG and TIG welding (not as a welder)
- Knowledge of weld symbols is a plus
