EFP is in search of Maintenance Mechanics for the City of Rialto, CA. This position is temp-to-hire. Working hours will be from 6am-2:30pm (occasionally 4am start) with occasional OT and Saturdays.

Position Overview

Maintain facility equipment and perform scheduled preventive maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair facility’s various industrial equipment and perform building maintenance as assigned. Communicate with management on production equipment needs to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will have experience with trouble shooting and repair of hydraulic/pneumatic machinery, welding experience, simple blueprint reading with metal fabrication (a plus)

Primary Job Functions

MUST: performs welding (stick, ARC and MIG)

· Maintaining industrial equipment and troubleshooting machinery.

· Complete tear-down and repair of industrial equipment, motors, pumps, etc.

• Performing routine preventative maintenance.
• Be able to read, interpret and follow operation and repair manuals.
• Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
• Performing general maintenance work on buildings as assigned.
• Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
• Assure that all safety rules are followed, and safety equipment is used and properly maintained. Report violations to the safety committee.

Secondary Job Functions

• Participate in team meetings/projects.
• Participate in 6S activities & Continuous Improvements activities.
• Participate in internal auditing system as required by quality management system.

Technician Requirements

· Must be a US Persons

· Education – High school diploma/GED.

• 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
• Trade or vocational school graduation preferred.

· Understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.

• Knowledge of mechanical machinery, hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Basic electrical, basic welding and plumbing skills are required.
• Ability to fabricate parts for repairs and do machine upgrades is a plus.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
• Able to work 40+ hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour

Experience:

• pneumatics systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Fabrication: 1 year (Preferred)
• Maintenance: 2 years (Required)
• Industrial mechanic: 1 year (Preferred)
• Hydraulics: 1 year (Preferred)
