M & P Lab Technician

Reporting to the Materials Engineering Lab Supervisor, the Materials & Process, M & P, Lab Technician, will perform materials & process testing in the M&P Lab. Operate lab equipment to test elastomer rubber compounds.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment for all employees by following company safety rules, regulations, and procedures. Enforce and adhere to all PPE requirements. Contribute to a Safety-First Culture by identifying Risky Situations.
• Identity materials and understand equipment operation and process.
• Mold and prepare standard samples.
• Test samples per prescribed quality procedure, recording and correcting any required actions.
• Processes special reports for control of stock.
• Operates compounding databases.
• Mold prototype parts using transfer process.
• Molds prototype parts using injection process.
• Mixes compounds per quality procedures and engineering instructions.
• Check equipment using prescribed preventative maintenance procedures.

Qualification Requirements

• Follow all prescribed safety procedures.
• High school diploma or related experience plus 2-3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Must be a self-starter
• Ability to follow and work from work instruction sheets.
• Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
