Job description

Position Summary
This position is responsible for the material planning and inventory ordering for the aftermarket service department, maintaining schedule agreements & PO’s for assigned suppliers, expediting backorders, performing system maintenance and other duties as needed to support the team.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

• Manage MRP for assigned suppliers
• Maintain open communications with assigned suppliers and monitor performance
• Data analysis and reporting
• Release purchase orders based on consumption levels and demand to meet lead times and cover future requirements based on historical demand and forecast
• Manage daily responsibilities, i.e.: issue Purchase Orders, generate reports, reconcile invoice discrepancies, and resolve issues presented by internal and external customers
• Light warehouse duties deemed necessary to prepare materials provided by our internal manufacturing divisions for pick up & processing by 3rd party warehouse.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Two years of inventory control, material planning or purchasing experience in a service environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree
• Five years of inventory control, material planning or purchasing experience in a manufacturing/service environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP
• Effective time management and planning skills
• Ability to prioritize and deliver results
• Good analytical skills & problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team Player who can contribute to the overall goals of the team, specifically relating to maintaining 95% parts availability
• Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems
• Attention to detail
• Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency
• Strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills

Job Conditions:

• Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment
• Subject to noise and temperature changes
