Universal Metrics, LLC is a growing metal fabrication company that features job-shop creativity combined with small-large quantity manufacturing capabilities. UMI’s corporate facility is located in Menomonee Falls, with the mobility division located in New Berlin, WI. We work closely with our customers to provide high quality made in the USA pre-fabricated parts and products designed to withstand the rigors of what will be thrown at them.

The Material Handler supports our front end of manufacturing through receiving of incoming materials (steel products) to designated areas, staging of material for next orders, material handling of finished products, and proper inventory transactions within our ERP system and other responsibilities and front end support as necessary.

It requires operating a forklift and/or overhead crane to move and stage material for other departments.

This role is Monday through Friday - 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Load and unload material onto or from pallets by hand as well or move entire pallets depending requirements. Process paperwork and use a computer workstation for material movements.

Successful candidates MUST have:

• Strong prior experience in a Material Handling/Clerk capacity
• Extremely positive attitude/be a great team player
• Have high energy
• Understand the difference between activity and accomplishment
• Be extremely detail oriented to maintain proper inventory levels.
• Prior experience with forklifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
