Title : Material Handler (11784)

Location : Bohemia, NY (11716)

Duration : 12 Months

Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Receives, stores, issues and ships components and/or finished products within and outside facility.

· Performs basic tasks relative to material handling in various stages of manufacturing including but not limited to receiving, storing, kitting, counting, bagging, tagging, packing and shipping of materials 2. Utilizes Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems for basic material transactions and data entry in a timely manner

· Interpretation, & investigate basic transactions inquires & messages in Oracle

· Validates counts and paperwork including reconciliation of discrepant counts

· Order and manage supplies

· Validates inventory accuracy via cycle count mechanism including reconciliation of discrepant counts, recommending procedure changes to improve accuracy

· Ability to interpret, investigate and take action on transactions required and message in Oracle

· Manual transfer of material between projects

· Maintains and files source documents in a timely manner to support the inventory control process 10. Releases kits to picking and production floor (Stockroom)

· Performs picks up and delivery as required

· Issues back orders and floor shortages to production departments (Stockroom)

· Provides training and mentoring for other employees as required

· Utilizes written or visual instructions based on standard operating procedures

· Provide written and/or oral communications concerning a variety of situations

· Ability to perform basic maintenance on foam packing machine (Shipping)

· Accessing customer/carrier portals (Shipping)

· Assists in physical inventory counts

· Keeps workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner

· Understands and complies with all Company, safety rules and regulations

· Engages and participates in a self-directed teaming environment

REQUIREMENTS

· High School Diploma or GED

· 1-3 years of manufacturing experience

· Basic computer skills

· Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

· Must be willing to stand for long periods of time

· Skills required in simple mathematical counting

· Should possess dexterity skills, good hand & eye coordination

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
