We're looking for a Marketplace Authentication Manager to join our Auction Operations team. The Marketplace Authentication Manager is the first step in confirming authentication on lots that arrive for auction. This role is responsible for accurately and efficiently making sure all items are authenticated before an auction launch. The Manager of Authentication works very closely with Client Partners to understand the lots that need authentication, possible additional services required, and the timing of auctions. They will also work with the cataloging, photography, and editorial teams. This role requires knowledge and experience in the hobby. This role will report to the Director of Auction Operations.
What You'll Do:
- Develop an authentication schedule and work closely with the auction management team
- Monitor and accurately document authentication fees
- Strong ability to negotiate and multitask
- Supervise the review process of authentication and grading
- Build relationships with our third-party authenticators
Who You Are:
- Knowledge and experience in The Hobby
- Proven track record of working authentication field
- Strong ability to negotiate and multitask
- Ability to work both in New Jersey and Delaware locations
- Experience working cross functionally and with third party vendors
- Ability to create process and
- Strong attention to detail
