Sweetwater, the nation's number 1 online retailer of musical instruments and pro audio gear, is seeking to add a talented and driven Campaign Marketing Specialist to join our Email & Automation team! The Campaign Marketing Specialist will plan, execute, and measure a variety of campaigns, initiatives, and promotional events for Sweetwater. This individual will also be responsible for the creation and maintenance of high quality on-site promotional content, including banners, landing pages, product messaging, deals and rebates. Whether it’s telling the world about the next big product, or making sure that customers on Sweetwater.com can easily find all of the promotions and special offers relevant to their interests — the Marketing Specialist will apply their digital savvy and marketing expertise to drive website traffic, sales, and customer category engagement.


One essential quality of this role will be seeing products and value-added services through the lens of the customer, and then translating their understanding of the customer into actionable marketing messages. Capturing the essence of products and services within a few key, actionable words that make sense to the target audience is an important ability for most projects.


Driving projects from inception to completion with a focus on team collaboration is another essential quality. The Marketing Specialist is a problem solver and a quarterback for the marketing team, collaborating with team members in merchandising, creative services, web development, and digital marketing to get projects across the finish line.


Lastly, this position will be on the frontlines between brand and customer, and is a gatekeeper for marketing communications. The utmost level of care is needed to ensure that every marketing message is on-brand and well received by customers.


Digital B2C marketing, e-commerce, and specialty retail marketing experience is a major plus. Experience in customer database, CRM, and/or marketing automation software at an enterprise level is also a plus. This is a full-time position and reports to the Senior Manager of Promotions, Email Marketing, & Lead Generation


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with a winning team to plan, execute, maintain, and optimize campaigns, product/brand launches, and promotional events
  • See products and services through the lens of the customer, and collaborate with teammates to craft compelling campaigns
  • Ensure an excellent customer experience in all communications
  • Manage time, tasks, projects, priorities, and deadlines with tactical precision and creative excellence
  • Drive projects from inception to completion through collaboration with teammates
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure that outcomes and deliverables meet spec and satisfy important needs of the business
  • Drive year-over year growth for Sweetwater’s promotions, email marketing, and giveaways
  • Monitor and measure campaign success, providing weekly and monthly reporting, and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Maintain on-site banner dates, targeting, exclusions, and shop categories
  • Review and approve deal & rebate messages for product pages and sale pages
  • Testing & quality assurance for a myriad of promotional web pages, email tests, banner ads, and other customer facing assets
  • Grow the number & quality of new leads in Sweetwater’s customer database through marketing giveaways
  • Ensure that new leads in the database have a high quality & consistent experience
  • Aid Brand Manager and other team members as needed for specialized projects and deliverables
  • Create, manage and follow up on all technical support tickets and troubleshooting relating to lead generation campaigns

  • Ability to work with multiple departments & team members for campaign coordination and execution
  • Ability to receive constructive feedback and direction from stakeholders and superiors, quickly turning insights into iterative action
