Salary Range: $55,500-$72,100

Virginia ABC’s Marketing Team is currently seeking 2 Marketing and Merchandising Analysts to join their team! These positions will assist the Merchandising Manager in planning and analysis for the SKU Optimization program, applying marketing strategies and the Shelf Management best practices for ABC stores and supplier representatives to ensure planogram compliance.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

SKU
Optimization & Store Layout
  • Serve as principal employees in the SKU Optimization program. Analyze store level sales data to optimize assortment, assign category floorplan locations, and category space allocation, and category adjacencies. Draw planograms featuring correct assortments.
  • Collaborate with Logistics, Retail Operations, and outside Category Management supplier partners to complete SKU optimized planograms in a timely fashion.
  • .
  • Work with Retail Operations staff to develop and maintain product information and related databases.
  • Communicate deletion lists, store orders and other pertinent information with the appropriate departments.
  • Format planograms and related reports as requested by end users by creating .pdf and. xlxs documents and posts on SharePoint
  • Planogram maintenance including eliminated, close-out, and new products for all locations
  • Produce 1 to 2 SKU Optimized store layouts and coordinating planograms and reports per week or as needed by retail schedule



Sales Analysis
  • Periodically perform sales and inventory analysis utilizing Business Intelligence.
  • Report findings as needed in the form of spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Analyze sales rates of purchased items to determine performance.
  • Provide information regarding products, shelf sets and marketing and merchandising guidelines and procedures, answering questions and ensuring comprehension.
  • Work with the Supplier Partners to incorporate shelf management best practices.
  • Assist with pilot programs and performs periodic analysis of program results.
  • Serve as liaison between store employees, regional managers, and supplier representatives regarding planogram compliance.
  • Travel to site locations as necessary to assist in training or layout.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Considerable knowledge of the principles of marketing, merchandising, wholesaling and retailing. Analysis and reporting techniques, data collection, statistical theory and accounting.
  • Expertise in planogram software such as Spaceman or JDA.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in business administration or related field. Experience in marketing, retail merchandising, or related field.
