Role & Function

  • Proactively seek information on the external environment and emerging competitive landscape to inform brand and business development strategies
    • From multiple internal/external sources including customer networking, congresses & commissioned work
    • Primary focus is to drive the development of the global understanding of the competitive landscape and market environment for Sobi’s assets in the therapeutic area
  • Execute and integrate primary market research to support the strategic planning of global brands in your therapeutic area
  • Support the development and communication of the understanding of trends in treatment and product use
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and affiliate teams to gather all aspects of market data and intelligence available to ensure the development of an informed global commercialization and therapeutic area strategy
  • Participate in assigned project groups and work in support of the global business plans

Responsible for managing allocated budget to meet target expenditure in line with strategic business plans

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage market research, competitive intelligence and analysis projects
    • Day-to-day management of projects and interaction with vendors (incl. planning and approvals) to ensure delivering results on time and within budget
    • Provide in country support to gather and analyze Sobi product and competitor use post launches and aggregate local market data in terms of (patient) population data as well as sales data to a global level
    • Ensure market information gathered is translated into relevant insights to inform the brand strategy
  • Keep market data and competitor information up-to-date, structured and available
    • Keep reference market data up to date for cross-functional use
    • Share competitor information from congresses and captured in the field (incl. up-dates to competitor development timelines and other materials where relevant)
  • Work in close collaboration with the Immunology brand leadership team
    • Support assigned HQ project groups and support the overall Sobi Global business plans
  • Ensure ongoing completion of all required initial and ongoing training in local regulations and policies, and adherence to those regulations and policies

Follow up of cost according to the approved project and agreed budgets

Assigned Countries: Covers all Sobi Territories

Principal Interfaces / Relationships

Internal:

Cross functional brand teams and local affiliate management and staff

Regional BUMs, marketeers and MSMs and other affiliate Immunology staff as required

Executive Management Team

External:

Market research and CI vendors

Physicians, nurses and biomedical scientists, pharmacists as needed plus appropriate required relationships with agreed local market access stakeholders where appropriate

Local and international opinion leaders and decision makers, including patient organizations in accordance with the appropriate regulations


Position Qualifications

Education/Learning Experience

Required:

University degree level education in medicine, biomedical research, or finance/analytics

Work Experience

Required:

Market analytics and decision support role or equivalent for a minimum of 5 years

Experience in commissioning market research or marketing projects to external vendors

Desired:

Pharmaceutical marketing/sales/financial experience for a minimum of 5 years

Experience of pre-launch and launch activities and markets

Skills/Knowledge

Required:

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

Networking and opinion leader relationship development engagement

Effective communication and team working skills

Report writing and presentation of analysis and strategic recommendations

Project management and leadership experience, delivering results on time and within budget

Flexibility, ability to manage change and operate in an environment of uncertainty

Desired:

Knowledge of international health systems, regulatory systems, and decision-making processes
