About the Role:
This position leads engineering initiatives for the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment to meet operations goals. In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, this position will be responsible for several processes on the manufacturing line, working cross-functionally with quality, production, R&D, and project management teams to achieve goals, as well as update, improve, or add new manufacturing processes.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Monitor performance of equipment and processes, providing troubleshooting and root cause analysis of non-conformances, low yields, or other quality/production issues.
  • Communicate effectively to an audience consisting of peers, operations management, and supporting divisions (R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Project Management, etc)
  • Plan, organize and prioritize daily work to meet production and project goals.
  • Apply problem solving and process improvement methodologies to complex and diverse manufacturing processes, across multiple product lines – driving root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Train and/or provide work direction to manufacturing operators and technicians.
  • Recognize quality signals and escalate appropriately within the quality system requirements.
  • Lead projects with cross-functional team members working towards common business goals.
  • Work collaboratively with divisional customer teams (R&D, Sustaining Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Quality, other) to deliver on new product introductions, change management, process improvements, or business continuity projects.
  • Gather, analyze, and summarize data – drawing conclusions, and reporting out to peers and management.
  • Work with vendors/suppliers on technical design, procurement, and fabrication of materials, equipment, fixturing, etc.


What We're Looking for in You:
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering discipline (preferably Electrical or Mechanical)
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with electrical device assembly/testing, laser marking and packaging systems.
  • Experience with regulated change management for manufacturing processes.
  • Understands engineering and problem-solving principles, concepts, tools, and techniques, as well as fundamentals of change management and process validation.
  • Develops creative solutions and collaboratively draws ideas from cross functional teams. Advocates for his or her ideas with passion while listening to and considering the ideas of the team.
  • Takes initiative to identify improvement opportunities, prioritize them, communicate them to the appropriate levels and sees them through to completion.
  • Is resilient in the face of setbacks. Plans appropriately for risks and responds positively to unforeseen problems.

  • Experience with electrical testing
