Remote - Tampa, FL

DroneUp is seeking a Manager, Regional Flight Compliance - UAS in our Tampa, FL, region to work closely with Hub management ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. The Manager, Regional Hub Flight Compliance conducts comprehensive flight operation audit procedures, at all facilities within their service area, reporting their findings to the Director, National Flight Compliance for DroneUp. The ideal candidate will act as the local liaison for interactions with local and state authorities and the FAA should the need arise.

Responsibilities

• Monitor internal records including, but not limited to in-house pilot records, flight logs, maintenance, and event reports and make recommendations to management as needed
• Conduct inspections, both scheduled and unscheduled, of Hub facilities, maintenance facilities, and warehouses
• Provide regulatory guidance and support high level missions to ensure compliance
• Interface with local officials and FAA personnel as necessary
• Perform periodic informational safety training events with Hub personnel
• Serve as the first point of contact for Hub event reporting and ensure the proper parties are notified and correct actions are taken
• Execute airspace authorizations and waiver requests as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation or related field required
• 5+ years previous management experience
• Strong knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations
• Excellent written, verbal communication skills and presentation skills
• High attention to detail and experience with document generation and recordkeeping
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Google Workspace, Zoom, and email communications
• Part 107 required; additional licenses such as PPL/Commercial/CFI preferred
