Manages the development and maintenance of the AES Clean Energy (AESCE) schedules for all major origination, development, and execution projects in the Project Scheduling Manager’s (PSM) assigned region. Initially AESCE’s schedulers will be split into an east and a west region.
Leads and manages the members of the region’s team. Balances workload of schedulers in coordination with Project Controls Director.
In coordination with the Project Controls Director, oversees the development and maintenance of the AESCE project controls system.
Develops and maintains schedules for all assigned projects at AESCE.
Integrates assigned project schedules into the AESCE Integrated schedule and monitors schedule progression against the schedule baseline.
Explains schedule variances and prepares reports on schedule-related trends; assists the project developers, project managers, and management to understand the projects’ outlook.
Leads development of scheduling standards and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads and manages the members of the Project Scheduler Manager’s (PSM) region
  • Trains schedulers reporting to PSM’s region
  • Provides oversight of schedules prepared by schedulers in PSM’s region
  • Regularly evaluates the work of the schedulers reporting to PSM
  • Coordinates work with other PSM and Project Controls Director
Develops and maintains schedules for all assigned projects utilizing critical path scheduling techniques. Candidate also:
  • Reviews project schedule data to include records of activities, verifies open/close dates, structures, and associated data as applicable to activities.
  • Evaluates work packages and other related data for feasibility of implementation. Makes recommendations as to alternative methods or processes that may be utilized to efficiently achieve and maintain desired customer results.
  • Interfaces with internal and external customers to communicate status of work and corrective actions that may be required to ensure conformance to established schedules.
  • Works closely with project developers and project managers to ensure that schedule information is communicated to the parties doing the work.
  • Assists in the development of the projects.
  • Oversees development and provides input to the project status reports (such as a critical path analysis) to ensure proper documentation is maintained and complete.
  • Develops and maintains project baselines.
  • Analyzes project requirements and ensures that required resources are available so that established schedules may be reasonably maintained. If resources are not available, notifies supervision and the project manager of resource issues.
  • Coordinates with internal and external customers to obtain data concerning the status of assigned project activities or milestones.
  • Analyzes work productivity against established schedules and reports to management such productivity. Modifies schedules as necessary to efficiently plan and report activities as required.
  • Prepares project management reports to reflect schedule status and/or corrective actions as required.
  • Coordinates projects with all participants to ensure that plans are achievable and current.
Candidate may act as delegate for his/her manager (Project Controls Director). Develops schedule analysis and documentation for claims. Implements and supports the development of scheduling standards and procedures. Establish common standards for data input, database management, schedule maintenance, and internal / external report generation. Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and be able to reach consensus on complex issues in a timely manner.
The candidate must possess 8 years of scheduling experience, preferably in renewable project development and construction.
The candidate must be able to independently apply advanced scheduling techniques using scheduling software and perform scheduling analysis.
The candidate must be able to apply advanced analysis techniques and lead others in developing schedules and plans in an effective and timely manner.
The candidate should be a team player, possessing good customer support skills, and have good written and verbal communication skills.
The candidate must have an extensive working knowledge of scheduling software Primavera Project Planner (P6), Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Scheduler will work from remotely. Travel is expected to be less than 10%.
