Overview:
The Manager, Inventory Management leads a team of analysts that provide inventory strategies to optimize inventory, reduce overall inventory costs, and improves service levels for all inventories held at the network of storerooms and central warehouses for all operating companies owned by PPL Corporation. This position oversees distributor contracts, owns the inventory master, and supports all inventory related functions of PPL’s ERP Financial and Supply Management system.
Responsibilities:
  • Manages and directs the work of a team of analysts, overseeing employee performance, and developing a professional staff through appropriate recruitment, coaching, counseling, training and development of employees and team.
  • Manages the analysis and recommendations for inventory levels and replenishment models, and stocking levels, determining optimum ordering levels of materials maintained as inventory for all PPL operating companies. Overall ownership of the min, max, reorder points, and safety stocks of all inventory warehouses, working with sourcing teams and logistics personnel to optimize levels.
  • Manages the creation of all inventory related KPI’s, monthly reports, ad-hoc reports, and databases.
  • Works with other departments in the organization to reduce slow moving/obsolete inventory, recommending optimal movements, and working with business lines to disposition.
  • Manage the overall financial inventory reserve process.
  • Optimizes emergent and storm stock for critical materials used in storm restoration and emergent outages.
  • Owner of the Inventory Master in Infor FSM module for all operating companies.
  • Manage the Distributor contracts and relationships.
  • Manage all inventory related activities, troubleshooting system errors, resolutions, batch jobs activities, error log resolutions, processes with Infor’s FSM module.
  • Builds partnerships throughout PPL and it’s operating companies to gain a clear understanding of business needs.
  • Drives the process improvement initiatives for department and Supply Chain organization.
  • Position may be in office, hybrid or remote.
  • Supports PPL’s emergency and storm support model by adhering to the duties of assigned storm roles.
Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, IT or other technical field.


Experience

  • Minimum of seven (7) years in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, project management, or other related experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced experience in data mining, creation of complex spreadsheets and databases, and use of business intelligence tools.
  • Proven skills in leading change in organizations.

Licensure / Other Qualifications
Valid Driver’s License required.
