Job description
This position works on creation and execution of merchandising strategies for a wide group of brands providing leadership and direction to cross-functional teams on all areas pertinent to merchandising product assortments.
This leader will work closely with planning, product design & development, brand management, finance, and customer/sales teams to significantly improve sales, margins, and assortment efficiency.
Definition of the Ideal collection size and the number of new styles per each brand
Merchandising Brief ownership: creation of a document including all the guidelines for future product developments (number of styles, material, gender, price range, pricing, and max cost) based on market needs and competitors’ benchmark
Definition of the final line plan to be released per each brand with related pricing, partnering with Design/PD and Brand
Definition of the pricing strategy for each brand with the aim to get the right product at the right price.
Continuously monitor market trends thru regular retail shop visits, gathering market intelligence from a wide variety of sources in order to take appropriate actions
Evaluate market and customer information together with historical data; then forward trends/concepts to develop the plan
Managing the product launch phase by evaluating the expected potential sales for each product collecting feedback from all the key stakeholders
Managing the product lifecycle through collection analysis and line review processes on a quarterly basis, challenging all participants to quick and efficient follow-up actions therefrom
Development of dedicated assortments to maximize the brand sales in a specific region or distribution channel
Provide Merchandising leadership for Auto-Replenishment Program, leading to subsequent streamlining of products sold while yielding improved turns
Liaise with Brand team and PD to develop comprehensive tools required by sales channels (i.e. global sales guide sheets, line sheets, etc.)
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of direct reports
Strong knowledge of eyewear industry or experience in fashion accessory field
Excellent PC skills, especially MS Office programs
Strong analytical and organizational skills, plus the ability to work to deadlines
Ability to write and present clear, concise reports
Good interpersonal skills
Experience in motivating and leading within a small team
Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
Travel may be required

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
