Position is part-time, 25-30 hours per week

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years in computer operations and general office procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and abilities, including wiring, email and memo creation, interpersonal communication, and internal and external customer service.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, collaboration, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to properly manage confidential information, work independently, manage multiple work assignments, scheduling appointments and work closely with Morgan County businesses.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, invoicing, and tenant office leasing contracts.
  • Knowledge in various types of audio/visual equipment a plus.

Job Focus
Morgan Business Resource Center (BRC)

  • Operates as primary information liaison to serve guests seeking common questions and services.
  • Oversees Morgan BRC tenant correspondence, building and event scheduling, and daily operations including building appearance and limited cleaning functions, collaborating with BRC Office Manager.
  • Manages and creates content and marketing campaigns for Morgan BRC across various social media platforms. Engages, educates, and communicates with clients/or customers relevant resources, upcoming opportunities, and business events. Works directly with the Business and Economic Development team.
  • Processes tenant lease agreements, tracks lease expiration dates and provides necessary follow-up, and secures liability insurance certificates for all tenants and building conference room leasers.
  • Works directly with Morgan’s Chamber, City, and County, organizing and attending designated meetings, representing the BRC and services offered.
  • Plans and organizes Women in Business luncheons as well as other business trainings for Morgan businesses. Oversees booking event locations, planning and speakers.
  • Attends and provides administrative support for monthly CEO Board meetings including minutes and agenda creation.
  • Develops and fosters positive client relationships. Increases clients served and impacted by the Morgan BRC.
  • Maintains electronic marquee with promotional messages and events.

Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

  • Provides initial counseling and enrollment support to new clients prior to meeting with an SBDC counselor. Shares upcoming business growth trainings, education, and mentoring opportunities.
  • Obtains client needs assessment survey data coordinating with SBDC Director.
  • Assists in maintaining current and accurate information in the SBDC Center IC database, in collaboration with the BRC Office Manager and SBDC Director.
  • Assists in quality control and promotes best practices for the Business and Economic Development Division.
