Job purpose
The purpose of the position, under the Supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, is to ensure the day-to-day maintenance and operational activities of skilled mechanical workers in maintaining and repairing equipment and the facility for safety and sustainability.
Duties and responsibilities
- Installs, repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance
- Repair and maintain basic plumbing such as air and water lines
- Repair, maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment, to include, but not limited to air compressors, overhead cranes, shop lighting
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain sources of breakdowns safely, efficiently and effectively
- Dismantle machinery, to include removing/replacing defective parts, to ensure safety of operators and proper operations
- Responsible to train team members on routine preventive maintenance
- Provides mechanical maintenance support by troubleshooting, answering questions/request
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Must maintain safe and clean work environments by complying with all company policies and procedures, rules and regulations
