Responsibilities:

• Duties of the position are not limited to, but will include:
• Maintenance of high-bay lighting, machine annunciators, warning lights and horns/bells as well as machine limits.
• General welding, cutting, sheet metal fabrication, machine lubrication, replacement of input/output devices, basic motor wiring and replacement will be routinely assigned duties.
• Fabrication, installation, and repair of electrical conduit and wiring, steel, cooper, and PVC plumbing, various hoses, and metal tubing installation.

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by effectively completing preventive maintenance assignments on various process and fabrication machines
• Troubleshoots malfunctioning components, systems and apparatus using testing devices and equipment for locating sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems; and planning the repairs for issues that occur.
• Reads and comprehends Maintenance Equipment Manuals and mechanical and electrical drawings/schematics. Responsible to use PC for completing CMMS generated work orders and PM inspections.
• Removes defective parts using cum-a-longs and hoists, hand, and power tools for repairing and/or replacing mechanical assemblies and components along with levels, straight edges, and other tools as required.
• Informs supervisors and management team members regarding potential hazards and recommends corrective solutions.
• Follows blueprints and plans a layout to install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
• Attends company scheduled meetings as required (e.g., safety meetings, production meetings, department meetings).
• Performs all work in accordance to company & OHSA standards for general industry safety.

• Must be able to operate industrial forklifts, equipment, or tools.
• Maintenance employees will be fully trained on HAZMAT and act as members of the Emergency Response Team for the purpose of maintaining and replacing chemical processing and handling equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent or Trade School Diploma
• Agility – Hand / Eye Coordination
• Good Communication – Interpersonal, Oral and Written
• Mechanical – Use of Hand-Held tools
• Three to five years' experience in an industrial / manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Basic knowledge of automated machine systems, both electrical and mechanical aspects must be shown and may be required to be demonstrated.
• Skill in the use of basic shop tools and troubleshooting devices will be necessary.
• Ability to plan and work with other members of the maintenance and production teams.
• Experience working with an emergency response team is a plus.
