Job Title: Maintenance Technician I

General Definition: Maintains building environment and grounds by maintaining building, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment as well as grounds keeping and repair services.

Supervision Received: Maintenance Management / Housekeeping Management

Essential Job Functions:

• Secures building and occupants by maintaining alarm and fire protection devices.
• Maintains lighting by installing light bulbs and ballasts; repairing electrical wiring and fixtures.
• Maintains building climate by trouble-shooting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
• Keeps equipment operational, systems and building ready for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules, maintains maintenance records, follows policies and procedures, completes repairs and installs replacement parts, and reports needed changes.
• Maintains building accessibility and appearance by picking up litter and removing ice and snow from walkways and parking lot.
• Paints and mows the lawn as well as cleaning the surrounding landscape.
• Maintains the facility plumbing including all water fixtures and sprinklers.
• Hauls files and boxes, moves furniture, sets up furnishings, prepare rooms for meetings, assemble public announcement and audio visual equipment following manufacturer’s operating and care guidelines, and repairs and installs replacement parts to assure equipment is in working order when needed.
• Identify and correct hazardous property conditions.
• Must be able to utilize the Work Order Maintenance system in Stream It to receive and complete work orders.
• Perform all other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to work at heights above floor levels of up to fifty (50) feet utilizing ladders and/or automated lift devices and occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
• Must be able to step, bend, climb, crawl, and reach in all directions with hands and arms.
• Must have general knowledge of machine and electrical hardware.
• Must be able to tolerate various climates and temperatures, including outside weather conditions or indoor climate controlled environments
• May be required to work in a casino environment where second hand smoke and flashing lights are present (based on facility)
• May be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, possess good manual dexterity, and hand/eye coordination.
• Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time in order to properly perform the assigned job duties.
• Must be able to perform basic computer functions to review, input and complete daily work assignments in WOM.
• Must be able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and policies.
• Must be able to follow all instructions, written and oral.
• Must handle various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.

Training and Experience:

• Previous maintenance, construction and/or landscaping experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications/Other:

• Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw Nation office of the Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
• Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.

Must have a valid Driver’s License and able to be insured and drive a tribal vehicle if necessary

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.53 - $16.64 per hour
