Experience required in all aspects of building/facility trades including: Drywall installation/repair, Interior wall framing, carpet/tile repair and install, painting, window replacement, door and door hardware repairs, roof repairs/maintenance { including shingle and ceramic tile roof membranes}. Must have the ability to operate power equipment and tools, ability to work off of ladders up to 16' as well as scissor and man lifts up to 35'. Must have the ability to work outdoors in both hot and cold temperatures. Must work well as a team and be customer service oriented. KNOWLEDGE is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: variety of skilled trades (e.g. mechanical, electrical, heating and ventilation, concrete, ceramic tile, masonry, etc.) and safety practices and procedures
ABILITY is required to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and consider a wide variety of factors when using equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and utilize equipment under a variety of conditions for multiple purposes. Ability is also required to work with a significant diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize a variety of types of job-related equipment. In working with others, some problem solving may be required to identify issues and select action plans. Problem solving with data requires following prescribed guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited to moderate. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adapting to changing work priorities; communicating with diverse groups; meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; working as part of a team; and working with constant and sustained interruptions.
R esponsibility
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; managing a department; and supervising the use of funds. W orking Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 50% walking, and 45% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and some hazardous conditions.
