At Converting Technology, we specializes in the manufacture of the Rollbag brand of pre-opened bags on a roll. These bags are considered the industry standard and can be used on virtually all brands of automatic baggers that use Autobag style bags.

Role and Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician is a key position in the converting department, and is responsible for optimizing functionality of all plant equipment, completing preventative maintenance, machine repairs and machine improvements.

• Ensure proper and safe operating of machines by assisting and/or training machine operators and set up technicians.

• Lead troubleshooting efforts related to electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or programming issues in production.

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on converting equipment and ancillary machinery.

• Manage consumable production parts and replace or repair parts as needed.

• Rebuild equipment and manufacture basic components when needed.

• Complete required documentation of work finished for quality control system.

• Use machine knowledge and experience to improve machine performance, productivity and quality.

• Assist in the development of new machinery as driven by production needs.

• Perform other tasks as requested by the Supervisor.

Qualifications and Education

• High school diploma or GED.

• Maintenance Technical degree or 5+ years of experience.

• Mechanical aptitude/ strong problem solver.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in the use of hand tools and measuring devices.

• Experience in plastic film/sheet industry a plus.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extensive periods of time. The employee must be capable of lifting objects up to 50 pounds. Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
