Job Description:

• Work directly to lead and train the employees in the plant to identify and implement continuous improvement process initiatives in conjunction with the Continuous Improvement / Safety Coordinator.

• Optimize quality, line efficiency and safety within the assigned work areas.

• Develop, manage and maintain a Preventative Maintenance system for the assigned areas of responsibility.

• Track and resolve customer “Can Downtime” issues using data analysis and problem solving techniques. This involves benchmarking, tracking to a scorecard and related business metric reviews.

• Document standard work and best practices for the assigned areas of responsibility.

• Lead and or participate in Kaizen projects and events.

• Work directly with other members of plant leadership as necessary.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Customer interface in this role is required.

• Responsible to adhere to all safety and quality guidelines within the Plant.

• Familiarity with advanced problem solving techniques.

• Experience in working within a financial operating budget for a department or assigned area of responsibility.

• Strong process and technical background.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university. Technical degree preferred. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, we will consider an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant maintenance/supervisory experience.
• Minimum of 3 years experience managing and maintaining a maintenance program in a high speed automated manufacturing environment.
• The ability to work a schedule capable of covering all shifts. Weekend work will be required as necessary.
• Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment.
