HOERBIGER corporation of America (HCA) is looking for Maintenance D Technician for manufacturing plants in Pompano Beach. The Maintenance D Technician is a key position within the Maintenance department. The position is focused on routine, preventive, maintenance for equipment and facilities in our two production facilities.

Job Duties include:

Perform the processing of shavings from the machining centers

• Forklift maneuvering of containers
• Handling of conveyors
• Identifying of problematic materials for processing machinery
• Identifying issues on the processing machinery fix what can be fixed and call for help on issues that can’t be fixed alone
• Making sure no environmental issues arise from processing shavings/waste

Perform the collection/management of regulated waste

• Make sure waste is collected, labeled and stored correctly
• Make sure all safety regulations for waste handling are followed
• Assist with the creation of pick up schedules
• Assist with the pick up of waste

Manage the cutting fluids and oils

• Manage the supply in the plant
• Manage the recycling and the concentration levels of cutting fluids
• Manage the stocking levels

Manage waste bulk waste stream

• Manage the proper filling of large open top dumpsters
• Plan ahead for pick ups

Manage the grounds

• Ensure the outside of the facility is trash free

Assist mechanics with repairs and preventive maintenance tasks

• Support preventive maintenance and repairs

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience performing simple repairs on equipment using hand tools
• Experience driving forklifts
• Ability to operate an industrial lift truck
• Ability to take measurements and decide if number is above or below the tolerance geometric
• Ability to perform measurements with calibers and measurement tapes
