ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

• 1 years of related experience

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities necessary

• Good mechanical skills

• Working knowledge of industrial sewing machines in an industrial manufacturing environment

• Knowledgeable in single needle, double needle, felling, serge, and automated type machines

• Safely use hand and power tools, and material handling equipment

• Be able to safely work with electrical, pneumatic, and stored sources of energy

• Ability to prioritize and organize work related tasks and special projects

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Flexibility and dependability are also required

• Self-Motivated with the desire to excel in performance

• Must be able to have good visual skills

• Heavy lifting (50lbs), pushing/pulling are required

• Work near moving parts and high temperatures

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Sewing Machine Mechanic's primary responsibility is to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain sewing machines and related equipment

• May also install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to production plans

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs to all stitching-related equipment

• Able to adjust work schedule as production needs arise. Some overtime may be required from time to time.

• Work with other departments within the facility to solve sewing machine maintenance problems

• Interact with and maintain a positive relationship with management and team members on the production floor

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Perform special projects as needed or requested

• Perform required lockout and tag out procedures for all repairs/maintenance

• Be able to diagnose machine problems and make necessary repairs or replacement of worn parts

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
