Purpose Statement: To support the vision and goals of Gemini, Inc. the Logistics Manager will direct staff to assure proper levels of overall support and customer service to all shipping and warehousing locations while attaining total customer satisfaction and efficient operations.

• Develop and drive the transportation carrier strategy, for all modes, which includes RFP management, carrier scorecards, carrier performance management, process improvement and cost reductions.
• Develop and drive strategy for corporate warehouse including capacity analysis, monthly cycle counts, staffing, and continuous improvement projects to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
• Lead negotiator for logistics carrier partners including parcel, TL, LTL, ocean, air, 3PL and customs brokerage.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of our Trade Compliance program which includes proper valuation, HTS classification and customs broker management.
• Manage and maintain shipping procedures for effective freight management, develop standardization, packaging solutions, and provide training opportunities as applies to all warehouse locations.
• Manage and assist staff to provide support to all company locations. Logistics responsibilities include:
  • Calculate freight quotes as requested from sales, compare quotes and invoices to ensure proper billing and accuracy.
  • Analyze shipment data to develop a streamlined and effective freight quoting system.
  • Develop guidelines and procedures to maximize efficiency and profitability in the international shipping process.
  • Determine accurate HTS classification and documentation of exports and imports for Customs clearance. Identify other requirements to ensure timely Customs clearance.
  • Work effectively in a team environment with sales, plants, and other departments to streamline processes and highlight opportunities for continuous improvements overall, including cost savings plans.
• Collect and analyze financial data to make projections, drive strategy, and implement new logistics initiatives.
• Works with IT to map out future state requirements needed to support business growth.
• Manager commercial relationships with strategic logistics partners.

• Associates Degree is required, but a bachelor’s degree is preferred, with 7+ years of Logistics experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Track record of successful negotiations in the Logistics/Transportation industry.
• Ability to motivate team members to accomplish their annual goals and develop them toward their long-term career goals.
• Experience identifying and implementing cost reductions within the supply chain.
• Ability to make quick and reasonable decisions in the best interest of the customer and company.
• Exceptional attention to detail, exceptional multi-tasking skills.
• Prioritize workload and be flexible to adjust based on demands and requirements.
• Exceptional skills in communication, interpersonal relationships, customer service, and conflict resolution.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a constantly changing environment with tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
